Let’s have a look at a few select races around the country. The Wrap Up

The story here is Matthew Dunn. He had a double with TICKET TO DREAM and LONDEHERO both winning around the $10 mark. Matt has now trained 13 winners from his last 34 runners which is an incredible effort. The stable is on fire and these two horses can win again.

ELMANTOSH was heavily backed in the last race and saluted like a nice horse. He too can find another suitable race shortly.

Gee they ruined some of these races by walking up front. The Naturalism stakes was won by Mr O’CEIREN and a great ride by Boss. You could say he pulled their pants down, but seriously they handed it to him, he didn’t trick anyone! I can’t understand how other hoops thought they could still win walking for 1600m and spotting the leaders 5-6L at stages?? I felt PAKAL was a super run against the tempo and being wide. Not sure where he goes next but he will run well.

The feature –Underwood 1800m was yet another canter. The two fav’s ATLANTIC JEWEL and IT’S A DUNDEEL went to the front and there was never a chance of either being run down, however IT’S A DUNDEEL gained the upper hand right on the line to spoil the unbeaten run of ATLANTIC JEWEL. She is still on course for a Cox Plate tilt, don’t worry about that. The run of PUISSANCE DE LUNE was outstanding given the circumstances. He is ticking over beautifully and only needs to stay sound to give all the major’s a big shake!

Couple of big performances. GUELPH and BOBAN probably being the best of them. The filly will continue to win against her age and sex, while BOBAN will get a feather weight in the Epsom and run a cracking race there. SIZZLING was extremely ordinary. He got too far back but was given a hiding from the winner.

The last race of the day should be a decent form race for the lesser sprints around the Group 3 level. SESSIONS lived up to expectations with a solid win over AERONAUTICAL and SPIRIT OF BOOM who both come with a rush late. All three are more than up to a good race over the carnival.

MORIARTY is probably the horse to beat in the Metropolitan but if MASKED MARVEL heads to Melbourne I am more than interested to see how he progresses.

***THANKYOU to all those who entered the $100 Pineapple Hotel competition. I was overwhelmed with entries and it is always great to hear from the followers. I’d love to give everyone a prize but unfortunately we don’t make that amount of coin! Haha.

THE PINEAPPLE will have all the footy finals action coming up over the next fortnight so grab a few mates for some coldies in one of their many bars!

Thanks for supporting our sponsors and hopefully a couple more jump on board shortly.
