We are heading into the last weekend of the Brisbane carnival (Sunny coast next week also) and we have to cross fingers we don’t get the rain predicted Friday.
There are a few news snippets getting around and a few names being tossed around for the upcoming carnival at Grafton also.
*I had a chat with Nat McCall and RIVER LAD will go around on Saturday in the Healy stakes but is likely to miss the Ramornie at this stage. The horse is fit and well and you can expect a good run this weekend.
*SESSIONS is meant to be heading for a freshen-up so the Ramornie is off the cards for him. The Darley team are looking at possibly SOLEDAD to be their runner this year.
*The two main lead up races to the Ramornie are the Healy in Brisbane and the Winter Dash in Sydney- both 1200m and both run on Saturday. You can be confident the winner should come from one of these races.
*In Grafton Cup news MR O’CEIREN looks as though he will line up after one more run in Melbourne. There will obviously be a lot of horses run at the Sunshine coast next weekend who will then head to Grafton for the cup down there too.
The feature this weekend is the TATTS TIARA and the field is a beauty! PERON was 23rd in the order of entry after nominations which was a real shock for some (including me) but she has scraped into the field, here it is.
