QTIS WINNERS
Some owners must be kicking themselves for not purchasing QTIS eligible yearlings.
Another $25,000 will be returned to the QTIS coffers after ineligible horses won or place in QTIS races across Queensland this week.
A total of $154,000 bonus prizemoney was up for grabs across seven QTIS races this week at Townsville, Brisbane, Rockhampton, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

SPECIAL THANKS
We’d like to make special mention of Courier Mail Form Guide editor Brian Bourke.
Brian has kindly started including QTIS details in the Courier Mail form guides.
The TBQA is very greatful for this publicity, as it is vital that owners, trainers and punters are aware of the number of QTIS races we have and the extra bonus prizemoney that they provide.
QTIS is vital for the survival of the breeding and racing industry in this State and the more interest we can generate the more successful it will be.
Thanks to Brian for contributing to these efforts and to Andrew Whitehead at Racing Queensland for the excellent implementation of the program and making results so readily available.
ADEBISI RAZOR SHARP
Bargain buy Adebisi (pictured)could be making more trips south after scoring a solid all the way win in Saturday’s listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m) at Warwick Farm.

Courtesy of an outstanding front running ride by Hugh Bowman, Adebisi was able to lead from barrier to box in an impressive performance.
Trainer Desleigh Forster had Adebisi entered for stakes races in both Brisbane and Sydney but decided the Harbour City race suited his racing style best.
“It’s nice to come down here and take some money,” a delighted Forster told TVN after the race.
“It was a good win and it was a good ride. He’s a good horse and does great most of the time.”
“It’s just the weight gets him in Queensland all the time and we know weight can stop trains.”
The 5yo gelding, a son of leading Queensland sire Shovhog, was purchased by Forster for $15,000 from the Raheen Stud draft at the 2009 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
It was a big day for Raheen Stud sire, Shovhog with 4yo gelding Noisy Ocean winning the Skyracing.Tv Handicap at Doomben (1600m).
And Glenlogan Park sire Falvelon rounded out the day for the Queenslanders and Abedisi’s trainer, Desliegh Forster, when 4yo gelding I’m Cool won the skysportsradio handicap over 1200m.
AI CONTRIBUTION
We are all thrilled by the positive verdict in the Artificial Insemination case last week.
A big thank you to all the TBQA members, individual breeders, studs and owners who provided financial contributions towards the AI fighting fund during this long and expensive Federal Court case.
Queensland contributors included:
Glenlogan Park, Huddy’s Mining Services (Linda and Graham Huddy), Eureka Thoroughbreds, Highgrove Stud, Lyndhurst Stud, Raheen Stud, Banchory and Darlington Stud (Hoss & Gillian Heinrich).
Your generosity helped considerably with bringing witnesses to the country and preparing the best case possible, which undoutably resulted in this victory.
