A few from the Doomben trials

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Big set of trials this morning and there are a few we can follow.

UNCOMMON JAMES– Been off for a long time but this was an exceptional trial. Has great ability and it’s a good time of year to return over the next month or so when the carnival finishes.

THE MOVE– Led on a soft tempo and had every right to win the trial. Just like the way he went about it. Wasn’t touched and had the ears pricked the entire straight. Love this horse over 1000m.

ARGYLE PINK– Simply better than maiden grade and should break that status soon.

UNDERHAND– I thought mum (Don’t Tell Mama) was a nice horse and this filly might take after her. Looks a bit of a natural and had more to give. Might see her at the trials again but she will win a race in her first prep.

ECHO MAID– Mums thrown nothing and I’m not a big fan of the Denman’s. However, this was a nice trial and I’d like to see it again before getting too carried away.

KINGSTON’S HERE– Was always a horse who could mix form but become a consistent type last prep. This was a very good trial. Sat off the leader and put them away quickly on the corner. Might have improved again this prep.
