Blackbook

I’ve really held off with blackbookers in recent times just because of the weather. Bog tracks for a couple of weeks, then soft, then EF, back to bog tracks, it’s just terrible for punting. Especially rain through the meeting.

Here are some from the week and let’s hope we get some dry weather over the carnival.

YISKA– Has just continued to improve. Has the good on speed style and also has a turn of foot. Should be more wins in store off an effort like that. Nice horse.

IRON GRACE- Not surprised with this at all. Liked the trials and she smashed the line here. She will only get better on the bigger tracks where she can through the gears. 11.36 L200m and the winner was the only other one to break 12sec.

MASS DESTRUCTION– This wasn’t his race. Had the wide gate, very wet track and it was simply a tick over run at the end of the day. Dominated by the leaders and he settled last. Bigger track or better draw next time out and he will be around the money for sure. In for a good prep.

SHAMATON– The heavy downgrade didn’t suit. He’s just a touch of a query at 1200m and i’d have no drama with the trip at Doomben on better ground. They went fast up front and he was clearly the best of those in the first couple of pairs settling. Might have been a beaten fav but I reckon he’s run well.

A couple will be added at the GCTC page:
