Blackbook

My latest BETSY article below. For a heap more articles like this, head over to BETSY with link below:

All reports are the Eagle Farm track was firm as it dried out on the weekend so it can be a little confusing blackbook wise. Some horses just don’t go on the ground, so you have to be forgiving. Also feel some of the races were simply below standard.

Race 5- LYLES– Lightly raced type with a good race record. Has the good on speed style and made a mess of a half decent field here. If they want to stick around the sunshine state, they will win more races.

Race 7- GRAFTERBURNERS – Everyone on TV was saying this bloke paraded poorly and the market was cold on him all week. He is simply a jet and made a mess of this lot. Reckon he’s a blacktype horse this prep and keen to see where they go.

Race 8- RHUVAAL – Just one of those races that didn’t pan out but I thought the effort was good considering and is in good form. Stewards report read like this: Over-raced in the middle stages. Passing the 700m, was buffeted on a number of occasions. Held up round home turn until approaching the 200m. Leaving the 100m, had to take hold to avoid heels.
