Cairns is a good track to bet on when wet as the outside is the place to be. On a GOOD surface it might be fast and fair on speed.
Race 1:
Money will talk here. BREECHES joins the new stable and was good in Victoria, albeit it on synthetic the latest form. Might just come up here and be too good. Respect money for it if it comes.
TOO MANY KISSES was very good for the new stable first up. Does have a good turn of foot but it is short and sharp. Needs a well timed run but does have a good jock on top.

Wouldn’t want my life depending on SAND ‘N’ POER, but it won’t get a better chance to notch up a win again. Loomed to be right in the finish last start in a harder race but a little weak late. Should land withing striking distance and be hard to beat.
SUPERSTITIONS loves the track, is consistent and well placed. Just a non winner is the issue. Has won 1 of 16 and just follows the winner around usually. Hard to have a win bet but will look the winner at some stage.
On Top: 3-SAND N POWER ($2.70 short)
Next Best: 4-SUPERSTITIONS

Race 4:
I thought ATTENTIVE was good on this track two back. Held up but just ok last time out at Townsville. I’ve liked this horse and been let down many times. Plain race, place chance.
KHALS looked like a barrier trial first up for the new stable and not paying attention to that. Last run was in a better race than this and the effort was better than a pass mark. Will be fitter and find this easier. Hard to beat.
Not sure what to do with TIPPED OFF. Bolted in here breaking maiden status two runs back and then went to the bush. Harder here but always a plus when they like this track.

Race 5:
Not getting too involved. NOVELA creates a lot of interest. Was a bit green in S.A but showed ability at times. Should win plenty of races up here if it settles in. Want to seemoney for it though.
ALMIGHTY JAB comes out of a much better racs and has a great record.
They are the two but might not bet here.

Race 6:
Nothing between a few of these. LUCKY LENI was ok here two back and was a dominant winner all over the top of the, last start. Went past BRAVE AGENDA there who led. READ ‘EM AND WEAP flashed from the back but gave away too much start. All honors LUCKY LENI but he can mix it up.
ROTHESAY’S RUBY brings a different formline and I like the way it has gone since moving north. Strong winner at Mackay two back. Settled off the speed, good tempo suited and she was too strong. 2000m was too far but still ok last start. Rock hard fit and can test these.

Race 7:
A stack of chances here.
MISSILE THUNDER has won 11 from 33 but been racing over a bit further. Don’t mind the drop back in trip but wouldn’t have minded a gap between runs. Must respect.
RUSSIAN MINT and LADY DAMUS went toe to toe here in July with a whisker between them. RUSSIAN MINT then bolted in at Townsville. Off that win I have to have a lean to it over LADY DAMUS. Must mention LD record this track trip (4:2:1:0).
LOUD NOISE lacks upside but loves it here and been in good form.

Next Best: 7-LADY DAMUS, 1-MISSILE THUNDER, 8-LOUD NOISE

Race 8:
I have some trust issues with a lot of these.
VINCENZO has been good at both runs on this track for the new stable. They were aggressive and stole a break before the corner last start. They will try same tactics and could be hard to run down.
STADIUM OF LIGHT was the one chopping that horse down late last start but ran out of time. He is a consistent type and feel he can turn the tables this time around.
Can try to make cases for others but they would let me down no doubt.
