Cairns super carnival is nearly here

The Great Northern Brewing Co Cairns Super Carnival Returns Bigger
and Better in 2025
The countdown is officially on for one of North Queensland’s most iconic events, the Great Northern
Brewing Co Cairns Super Carnival, returning in 2025 with more racing, fashion, entertainment, and
hospitality than ever before.
Festivities kick off on Friday 15 August with the highly anticipated Carnival Launch Party at the Reef
Hotel Casino. This glamorous evening promises an exciting start to the week, setting the scene for what
will be a spectacular celebration of sport, style and social energy.
On Saturday 16 August, the excitement continues at Ladbrokes Cannon Park with the Great Northern
Brewing Co Cairns Amateurs Cup Day — the first of three massive race days. Guests will enjoy thrilling
racing, vibrant hospitality experiences, and the Cairns Central Fashions on the Field, with this year’s
theme set as Tropical Elegance. Following the races, the party rolls into the evening with a Mounting Yard
Afterparty featuring Australia’s #1 Country DJ, Dee Jaye Bux.
The community is invited to a free event on Wednesday 20 August for the official Red Beret Hotel
Cairns Cup Barrier Draw, held in the Mounting Yard at Ladbrokes Cannon Park. This live event offers
fans and families a behind-the-scenes insight into the lead-up to the region’s biggest race and is a great
opportunity to mingle with racing personalities and industry figures.

The ever-popular Ladbrokes Sportsman’s Luncheon and Calcutta takes place on Thursday 21 August,
hosted by Ladbrokes’ Nick Quinn. Guests will hear from three-time Melbourne Cup-winning jockey
Glenn Boss, and 2024 Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Robbie Dolan, who will also take the stage
with a musical performance, showcasing the vocal talent that took him to the finals of The Voice. Tickets
for this exclusive event are limited and expected to sell fast.
The glamour of Ladies Day lights up Friday 22 August, with the feature race being the $100,000
Ladbrokes Cairns Newmarket. The elegant Gordon’s Pink Gin High Tea Party returns in a new
trackside location, delivering food, fashion and racing in style. A runway show curated by Cairns Central
stylist Bella Nucifora, along with City Life Magazine’s Fashions on the Field, will ensure Ladies Day
remains a social and sartorial highlight of the Carnival.
