Almost ran out of time this week. Always a big concern when there is rain predicted Friday and Saturday for that reason I’m a little reluctant tipping this week. Really depends on what falls though the meeting etc.

Race 1;
Can’t believe I’ve got ULTIMATE RING on top. Dead set myth but is a far better horse with the edge out of the ground. Good money very late last start and ran well without luck. Might have shown their hand there and this should be the perfect ground from a gate where they can land in the first half of the field.
WESTHAM just continues to run well and hard to run down again. KINGS FULL will improve here and ERIC THE EEL the x factor. He will to to a very ordinary position in running but blinkers and a mile are ideal.

Next Best: 5-WESTHAM, 11-ERIC THE EEL, 2-KINGS FULL

Race 2:
MAWAANY MACHINE and MASTER ZEPHYR (BOTH SCRATCHED) can be on speed and both some value at double figures, wouldn’t be surprised to see one win.
MONGOLIAN WOLF the best horse in my eyes, just a horrible pattern. RAQEEQ comes here off two very good runs.

Race 4:
You can make a case for a heap of these! Just going to put KISUKANO on top. Have loved the two runs to date. Wide the trip and strong late last start. Gate 8 a little sticky here but with a good ride will give a good sight.

Race 5:
We haven’t seen the very best of I’M A RIPPA for a while, probably hasn’t been placed this well in a very long time. As long as the apprentices don’t cut at each other this bloke will skip clear on the corner and be very hard to run down.
FREDDIE FOX TROT hasn’t been at his very best either but has been good enough. Gets the claim and last start win was good through the line. INVINCIBLE AL isn’t one of mine, am respecting the last win though. Got a peach of a ride that day.

Race 6:
Again I could go through and name every runner but will keep it short. THE ODYSSEY is proven, at his best he could run these into the ground. He’s a real money horse, when he’s cold in the market he usually needs the run. When they back him he runs well, watch the market.
BABY BOOMER may be ew value at $9/2.50. His two runs back have been very good, especially his last 200m. There does look to be very good speed, he should land in the third pair and can try to pick the right horse to take him into it. If he gets clear air late he will be strong again.

Put WANDABAA on top and SOLAR STAR maps to run well. but won’t be betting in this.

Race 9:
RED CHASE copped a horrible steer last time. Fastest splits from the 1000-800m, the 2nd quickest 800-600m, the quickest 600-400m split and quicest 400-200m split of the race. You CAN’T do that at EF and survive. He was going that fast on the corner 8 wide he was nearly sideways! Draws a gate here so surely finds the right spot in the first 5-6 and a more patient ride. The issue is if it’s a really wet track. The drier the better.
AUERBACH is likely to need the run, however this is his bread and butter. Loves this track and trip. Bad gate is an issue but has the right guy on top and he may well be positive and if he finds a spot up front he’ll give a great kick here.
