Dunn has incredible day out at Murwillumbah

Matthew Dunn has done an incredible job over the last couple of years since he left Gerald Ryan and branched out to run his own show out of the Murwillumbah stables. He has a great strike rate and you simply expect to see winners next to his name when a team is nominated.

The combination he has with jockey Glen Colless is one of the most lethal in QLD racing and when they wonder across the road at Murwillumbah they are simply unbelievable! Again on the weekend just gone Matt had three winners, two seconds and a third from just 7 runners at the Murwillumbah meeting. You will have to search far and wide to find stats to match that.

The stable have had a lot of its better horses out spelling recently but they are starting to enter the stable again now and we can look forward to seeing a couple step out this week.

AMALFI DREAMS is a very nice mare who improved when entering the Dunn stable last year. She had four runs that preparation and placed twice at Listed level and won her other two starts in easier company. She again takes on lesser company Wednesday and Dunn feels she will run well. “She galloped between races at Murwillumbah Sunday and had a little blow after it. She races well fresh and has had two trials and should be hard to beat.”

Another nominated for Wednesday was TEN GAUGE who has always promised a bit but a decision hasn’t been made on a run just yet. “He is nominated for other races later in the week. He ran really well first up on a heavy track last prep and that seemed to flatten him a little.” Dunn said.

QFIGHTER is also nominated for Saturday and although the stable is very happy with how the grey is doing but the key to this bloke is getting a decent racing surface. “He will run good. The track will need to get back to dead for him to be running but he is going good.”

I believe that horse has been gelded since we last saw him which may also help out!

With a few of the stable stars coming back in you can expect the hot streak to continue now after the incredible day Sunday. There are always opportunities to get involved with Matt that you can see on his racing website:
