*Although she meets Catashee 4kg worse off at the weights which is a slight concern, Byrne can slip across and get a nice lead. If she runs up to her last performance she can salute.

*1st up run was a blinder. 2nd up syndrome shouldn’t strike as he was very good last prep second-up.
*I’ve always had a lot of time for him and with 57.5kg after the claim and a good run from gate 5 I think he looks good value between the $8-$10 mark.
Melbourne Race 5 No.6 DUSTY STAR $4.80 on TattsBet
*Drops back from the WFA Bletchingly where he was narrowly beaten. 56.5kg suits and the Flemington 1400m is usually suited to a frontrunner who can get a good run in the first few. Guru Bob is about the only other speed and this bloke looks a good e/w bet around the $5.
