As I have been doing for the last month or so I give a little preview of the weekend racing on Radio Tab (1008am) and give a few early tips for the weekend racing. I have been putting those tips up in an article as I would hate to think the members didn’t get them.
Here are the three selections this week and the reasons why I put them on top as my best each way this weekend.
Brisbane Race 6 No.2 RACING HEART.
Obviously he will be our on top pick when “The Punt” goes up Friday. He usually takes a couple of runs to get to his best and the step to 1800m is perfect and he is ready to roll. Eagle Farm is a great track for him and he will get the edge out which he loves. If he opens up anywhere near the $4.50 mark I will be taking e/w all day.
Melbourne Race 3 No.14 SHEWAN.
Really liked his run last start when he made up many lengths on a leader bias track. Went straight in the blackbook after that and they have found a suitable (yet tougher) race. He should be around the $6 mark and I expect to see him run very well. *I also think that BAUER can run well around $20 in this race.
Melbourne Race 8 No.5 VALENTINE MISS.
Very underrated mare! Very honest and deserves to break through in a good one. Last preparation she was beaten in the Sportingbet classic G1 by one length, and beaten 2.3 lengths in the Goodwood G1. She can stand up here as long as the track can stay at dead or better, she looks well in.
**Our “Punt” section as usual will be up around 4pm Friday afternoon.
