Lets have a look at the Quaddie on the best track in Australia. Will go through them and have numbers at the bottom.
RACE 7:
Very even race and could pick five and miss the winner. Working down the page.
(2) APULIA was dominant over in the west and has had a let up for this. I don’t love that set up but he looks like a horse who is just getting better every time we see him and has some class.
(3) ONESMOOTHOPERATOR is one you would think has to have the run and get over further. I’m not convinced, I think he could sprint well fresh, especially on this track. Hasn’t trialled against A graders but has been good in them. Could surprise a fe.
(5) BIRDMAN and (8) ENXUTO come out of the 1400m lead up race on this track and very little between them. Both got back and were good through the line. Looks leading chances.
Thought (7) AIR ASSULT was brave after being wide and facing the breeze last time out. Been support after markets opened and could be a sharp improver.
RACE 8:
Looks self explanatory here. Only three winning chances.
The toppy (1) OBSERVER is the class, he has proven himself, was a winner fresh and this has been the target all along.
(2) PLANET RED was the eye catcher fresh and I feel can be the one who goes to another level this prep. Big track suits and he could be the fly in the ointment.
(4) SIXTIES is in career best form, won both starts this prep and Lane rides for Waller.
RACE 9:
(3) ALPHA SOFIE is the obvious, do you go one out? Not sure. Faultless form last prep and started this prep with another win. In this stable I would assume she is better for that run and looks to draw where you want in this.
(1) NASHVILLE JACK is lightly raced and was very good behind Grafterburners at the coast. That form should line up well.
Everyone will think (2) GETTA GOOD FEELING will need a longer trip. There is no way they would be training her like a 2400m horse this time. The recent trial was good and she is full of class. Can win here at a good price.
(9) JENNI THE NINJA travels like a good horse and has a turn of foot. Forgive the last start where she had Cardiac Arrythmia and go on the Flemington win before that.
(11) TEINE AULELEI has good ability and trial was ok. Usually needs luck in races but more than capable.
Plenty of other up and comers down the bottom to make this very interesting. You either go the fave one out or wider, whatever suits you.
RACE 10:
(7) FIORNOT is the one on the way up and already has a good record (10:4:4:1). Lovs this track and just needs a
(10) XTRA RUSH is 4/4 and I love the way he stuck the head out when challenged fresh. And the best part of his 2000m run was the last 100m. Can go close.
(11) AMBASSADORIAL has been flying for the new stable and maps perfectly. I’d love them to wait another 100m in the run and let him show the turn of foot he has instead of being the one they run down.
Needs to improve but (14) POLITELY DUN off a 30 day freshen, back in trip with just 52kg might shocl a few here.
