Aquis Park – Gold Coast trial review 11/8
TRIAL 1: Open 1000m
This was a good trial from nearly all of them and worth a look at the replay. FUKUBANA was the winner and we know it has some class. DEEP FOCUS was good out wide and could be in for a good prep also. SOOTHSAYER has been great and kept up to the mark here. MAQUISA and PECCAVI both very good for Waller also. Check the replay out.
TRIAL 2: Open 1000m
Just a little sneaky one in behind here. TERMAGANT has changed stables from Hoysted to Campton. She has won 5 of 13 and has good ability. Lost her way a little late last prep but was about to let down here when held up late.
TRIAL 3: 3yr old 1000m
A few went well but MURKADO was the eye catcher. Had a good first prep and can be a better horse this time in work. Sat off them and loomed up in about 5 strides after straightening. Liked that turn of foot and feel he can be winning races this prep.
TRIAL 6: Maiden 1000m
My goodness, ELUSIVE CAPITAL was in a different race than the others. Went around in good quality races last prep and I’m sure they take a step back and simply win their way through the grades this time in. The jock could not make he go any slower in the straight and still ran away from them.
TRIAL 10: Open 850m
Well only 1.1L between the first four over the line. STEADY READY and ANGEL LADDER have showed their class in recent times and they are always competitive in anything around this region. QUIEN STEP is one that can be placed to win a couple of easier grade races. GREYZOUS was a pass mark as well here.
TRIAL 12: 3yr old 850m
A lot of these went ok but I have to mention PAC FAIR. Was good in only career run and I am sure it will be a decent horse. Loved the way it picked up instantly when asked in the straight but then ran up their backs and the anchor was thrown out. Keen to follow.
