Rain a query for most of them. Has always needed a bit of a push in trials and race as he settles back. Each time though he has hit the line and the debut win was outstanding. It was at the provincials and not group racing like the faves have been going around in. But he will be one who is strong late here and I just hope they use the gate to land in front of 4-5 horses and not just flop out to last. Looks a generous price if he handles the ground.
Flemington Race 8 #7 MARK TWAIN e/w $27/$5.50
BIRDMAN clearly the one to beat but e/w this looks a play. Joined the new stable this prep and was pushed out but very good in a trial before the fresh run. Was runner up to Birdman in that run and was best L600m and 200m of the race. Has since had another nice trial and looks to be in really good form. I am shocked at the price from what I have seen so far this prep.
