Sounds like a few followed in the wider quaddie last week so let’s just hand pick a few interstate races this week and see how we go.
I’ll do Flemington which is my fave and will update Sydney if I get time. Just not really a Sydney racing fan to be honest.
Flemington Race 1 #7 VANGOUGH BANKCHEQUE $3.40
I have loved this horse from it’s first trial. Liked it at a good price over the spring carnival and ran well without winning. The recent trials have been excellent again. LEGACY BOUND is the class and i’m sure gets huge support off the Tentyris form, just feel this horse has a huge future.
Flemington Race 6 #4 HYDROBOMB $14/$3
Might be way off the mark trying to get the odds-on pop beaten. It deserves to be fave but gee whiz it’s short. This bloke was taught plenty in the trials and the debut run over 1300m was excellent. Leopard Shark went straight passed him but he fought hard and kicked again. Up in trip suits and can improve lengths off the race day experience.
Flemington Race 8 #12 BUTTERNUT PRINCESS $14/$3.60
Lowest rated horse in the race and can see why the price inflated. If you just look at recent form she looks huge value. Two runs back at Sandown she was the 4th best L400m of the entire meeting. She then went to Caulfield where she took on half this field and was clearly better than any that are in this race. Also best L600m and 200m of the entire day. Mare in form and no reason she won’t be strong at the 1600m.
