*Here is a quick grab from Matty Dunn’s racing website on Londehero’s Saturday win. The win was extremely good and the ride was a gem. My opinion is there is no doubt he is a black type horse who will measure up to some good races over the Brisbane carnival. The Dunn/Colless combination rolls on and Dunn continues to have this incredible strike rate! The other thing that people don’t realize is Dunn has not gone out and paid $100,000-$200,000 each for half a dozen horses, but rather relatively cheap purchases. This is the first year he has spent a little on horses at January so the best may still be on it’s way!
Londehero got back to the winners stall again at the Eagle Farm meeting in race eight on the card, ridden by Glen Colless in a dominant display from barrier 6.
Londehero got into stride early and Colless had the talented 3-yo gelding positioned perfectly off the leading bunch, with the favorite out the back on jumping in the 1200m QTIS bonus Hcp.
Coming to the turn Glen took a peek and rolled the Lonhro commodity off the heels of the front runners to amble into a clear passage.
Glen had Londehero full of running when the pair got out and raced to the line just under 1/2 a length clear of second placed, In The Sky Rocket to give connections a nice pay day, with the win carrying a $24,500 bonus.
The victory takes Londehero’s earnings to date of just over $220,000.
