Magic Millions 3yr old Guineas 1400m

Don’t like finding favs in these big races but they are so often well placed in these restricted sales races. JAMAEA is a x2 G2 winner and clearly the highest rated horse here. Her only go at 1400m was the G1 Golden Rose where she ran 8th beaten 4L. She was well held there but her late sectionals were fine and this is a massive drop in grade from a race like that. From the gate Berry should land in front of 4-5 and be able to get to the outside in the straight. I’d rather her have had a race before this but a couple of good trials should have her ready to go. The most recent trial was very good at the Gold Coast where she sat back and was strong through the line.
KING OF SPARTA is the other class runner but I do have a little query the last 50m with him at 1400m. It might not be a concern but they will really have to time his run over the trip, I wouldn’t want to expose him early. He has also raced well in Listed and group races and the Snowden’s gave him the one lead up run which will have him ready to show his best here. Another who will find this a lot easier than what he raced last prep.
Gates have really messed with a few leading hopes. I AM LETHAL and ME ME LAGARDE both come off career best runs and both have drawn horribly. ME ME LAGARDE got the blinkers last start, she sat back on a slow tempo and was still way too good. I AM LETHAL gets Bowman but he will need to be at his very best to get the right run from out there.
I may be way off the mark with CONSTRUCT as he’s only won the one race. Just reckon he will be suited by a hot tempo and from the gate should get a good run midfield. Expecting him to be one of the best roughies in this.
Has this all come a bit soon for DISCREETLY? Possibly, I really like her as a horse but they are going to have to use some petrol from the gate and still hope to get across or slot in. Don’t want to sell her short though. Would be around my numbers with a better gate.
*A heap of other chances but if I am having a bet it will be JAMAEA around the $5.50 mark.
