‘Murph’ on a roll!

One of the in-form stables in South East Qld at the moment is the David Murphy team. He doesn’t have a big stable by any means but the few that have stepped out are going extremely well.

Of the last 9 runners David had legged up, three have returned winners which is a good effort anywhere in Australia.David Murphy

One horse that’s looks to have just taken a little while to hit his straps this time work is REVITALISE but David has changed that with a win at the Sunshine Coast and then a very good run again Saturday where the horse had no luck and should have finished closer. “He was a great run and you just have to look at his sectionals. The horse in front of him was going nowhere and he is a big horse getting around Doomben and he only got going the last 200m.” Murphy said.

There is a chance that REVITALISE may actually back-up this weekend in the benchmark 90 – 1600m race because he had such an easy time on the weekend.

The half-brother to Mossriver is CABALLO RAPIDO and he is a really nice improving type who comes off an extremely nice win at the midweeks where he swooped late and wide to beat My Quilter. “He has always had ability but has been immature and he will be even better next time in again.” David said.

There is even an 1800m race on Millions day that could be suitable for CABALLO RAPIDO should he continue to improve.

WISH UPON A STAR was an easy winner for Murphy at the Sunshine Coast on the weekend and could be a horse to follow working through the grades over the next few starts.

*I always say it pays to follow these stables when they fire and you can read more on David at our ‘One On One’ page , or visit his site at:
