It’s starting to heat up in the spring and just throwing up a few that interest me away from Brisbane.

GOLD COAST:
Race 3:
Very Limited bunch and happy to think there are two main winning chances. DESERT KNIGHT has trialled decent a couple of time but been hopeless race day. I like the fact they have gelded him and both trials have looked good. Has to be a chance here. PLUCK JAM looks a leading hope off the one official trial. Showed speed and gave a kick. Not big on backing them on debut but he looks better than maiden grade.
Splitting my bet and even staking them.

Hardest To Beat: 7-PLUCK JAM $5.50

Race 4 No.4-SNIPSTREAM (SCRATCHED)
Interesting they have put the 3kg girl on here. Obviously gets in very light so they should be saying go to the front and keep improving. Genuine chance in Brisbane if it runs there so well placed here if it gets a decent steer.

Race 6: Quinella 1-2-3
Feel THE GREAT BOOMBINO can lead them up and should be in it for a long way. NOTHING NEEDED gets the gun run and can be first to strike. TEDDER AVENUE will be better for the two runs back, likes this track and can win with luck in running.

RACE 7:
Looks a bit of a match race here. Dittman/Liability vs Griffin/See It Thru. Both will push forward and should be the two leaders. LIABILTY gets blinkers and hard to knock the last start win. Always seems to start short and i’m just in the corner of SEE IT THRU who has improved each run for Lee. Should hold the fence, give a kick and hoping it can hold the other one off. Not much between them.

RACE 8:
Can make a case for 6 of the 11 runners and this is a great race to finish the day for the Gold Coast turf club/Aquis Park. TAKE TEA only had the few runs last prep but won a maiden and she was placed in a G3 at her second career run, that exceptional form for a CL1 at the coast. I have a lot of time for PAY WITH CASH, his maiden win last prep was excellent and the trial leading into this was also good. He will be winning more races but he just needs to jump better. GALWAY GIRL has trialled very well for the top stable and a win wouldn’t surprise. Plenty of others I haven’t mentioned!
