Time, Patience and Maturity seemed to have benefitted 5 year old gelding Prior. A horse who has always shown scope to be a handy stayer, he has until now proven difficult to get the best out of. In earlier preparations he has not raced too kindly at all and has had a tendency to hang at the end of his races. MaluaRacing...

With plenty of patience and some very good horsemanship from his regular track rider Paddy Flood he had shown that he may have turned the corner in his work leading into Fridays win at Kyneton. It was very pleasing for all concerned to see him race in such an improved manner and run away in the finish to win in good style like a horse capable of going further in this sport.

Jamie Mott rode him a treat and his style and technique is probably very suitable for Prior. Congratulations to all the owners and those who have worked patiently with this horse. Hopefully there are some more wins for Prior this time around as he continues to mature and develop.
