I was lucky enough to get the invite along to the Queensland Racing Media Association xmas party where it was just awesome to see most of the great racing personalities in the same place.
Nathan Exelby and Mark Oberhardt brought the team together and it looks as though the concept will only grow and be a positive thing for QLD racing so they should be congratulated.
Journalists from Meers, Dorries to Davidson, trainers from Heathcote to Dunn and callers from Fowler to Wilson were all amongst the crowd.
There were five guys awarded Life Membership

What an incredible amount of knowledge and stories those guys would have! Congratulations to them all.
As mentioned I did chat with some trainers and Rob Heathcote reports BUFFERING is well after his incredible spring carnival that netted 3 group 1’s. He is also excited to see what FIRE UP FIFI can produce when she hits the track again.
Matthew Dunn has the team flying and he is most excited about THE WHITE HOPE, LONDEHERO and SPLENDORA who will hopefully make the 3 year old Magic Millions 1400m race. She was 2nd at Listed level last start and would be one of the main fancies in that race.
