Some racing news around the traps:
**SHAMEXPRESS has been retired and a stud deal is likely soon. JAKKALBERRY has also been retired and will stand at $6000 at Paxton Park- NZ
**Looks as though AKZAR is a certain starter in the Doomben cup while KITTEN ON THE RUN will not be running and is heading to the paddock. A very good field and very interesting to see LEEBAZ head the market against some far better credentialed runners. I suppose he is the one on the way up, but $4 seems skinny to me.
**Lots of talk about HUCKLEBUCK from SA and now a lot are spruiking him up here after some nice work apparently.
**Wez Hunter is keen to get SMOKIN JOEY up to Brisbane and looks to be paying a late entry for the Stradbroke.
**Steve Hewlett interviewed Brad Spicer today and all going well COMMANDING JEWEL could line up in the G1 Tatts Tiara if all the stars align. Nothing locked in but come through a trial very well.
**Incredible effort up North today with John Manzelmann having all 8 runners a race!! That’s a good way to get a winner! Well done.
**Darren Beadman has joined Darley as an assistant trainer to John O’Shea. Great news!
