As I like to do at some stage each week, I will note down some of the racing news from this week as lots of members don’t have time to catch up on everything that has happened.
*Larry Cassidy was given a three month suspension for his ride on Trump a couple of weeks back.
*Woorim has come through his run well and will run this Friday at Moonee Valley where he has been given 61.5kg.
*Funtantes has picked up a ligament injury and will be spelled for at least three months.
*Peter Moody has decided to spell smart three year old Moment Of Change.
*Black Caviar has had a jump out at Caulfield and according to the ‘clockers’ has run incredible time and going to the line hard held. Watch out spring!
*My Kingdom Of Fife will run in the Craven plate 2000m in Sydney and NOT in the Turnball.
*There are some predicted showers to follow the rain that has fallen in Sydney, and locals are predicting either a dead or slow track for Metropolitan day.
*Corey Brown will ride Smart Missile in next week’s Caulfield Guineas (1600m).
**With a massive amount of racing happening over the weekend and with footy grand finals, I am not sure what format I will get some selections up for members yet. We will definitely have “The Punt” as usual and will have more significance as Melbourne doesn’t race Saturday. I may try to sneak some selections and quaddie numbers into “The Punt” for Moonee Valley Friday night as well.
**So stay tuned this week for a few more interviews etc leading into the weekend!
