Racing news

After a big weekend of racing there is a few snippets, and a bit of racing talk getting around. I thought I would just put a few things up that are doing the rounds and being reported.

**It seems as though Michael Rodd has secured the ride on Black Piranha in the Ramornie Handicap 1200m coming up at Grafton. The horse is expected to get 61kg topweight.

**In other Ramornie news, it seems defending winner Pinwheel will be heading for a let-up and will not be at Grafton to defend his title.

**Damian Browne who is in red hot form has ridden Mystical Grey, and Adnocon to impressive last start victories, but will stick with the Robert Heathcote trained Woorim in the Glasshouse at the Sunshine Coast this weekend.

**In some interesting international news there are whisper’s that Steve Arnold may be a chance to ride So You Think in his upcoming race. Ryan Moore who slaughtered the dual Cox plate winner last start will be riding Workforce and Dato Tan who retained part ownership of So You Think has said he would like Arnold on top.

**I would also like to congratulate Luke Marlow on winning the SKY- John Tapp race calling scholarship. Luke is a North QLD boy and I’m sure will do us all proud, and will have a long and successful career in front of him.
