DOOMBEN has a race by race preview for RACING.COM
It’s a good meeting, here’s an early example of the previews available.
Race 8:
4-KUKERACHA
1-PRIVATE EYE
2-YONKERS
6-QUANTUM MECHANIC
What do we do with PRIVATE EYE. 1/5 lame after the Doncaster and forget that run. Trialled very well leading into this and he’s the class runner. 61kg and the widest gate from this starting point and it’s nearly impossible. Needs some speed injected and a super ride but he’s the best horse in the race. Since the good winter here last year KUKERACHA hasn’t been placed well. He’s gone around in some very good Group races down south. This is one of the easier events he’s contested in a year. Gate 1 isn’t ideal traffic wise, but it should allow him to land in the first half of the field. From there Orman has to find some clear running but he’s riding in great form. QUANTUM MECHANIC has a good tune of foot on it’s day but needs to reverse form. YONKERS is a tough stayer but may need 2000m+ around Doomben. DJUKON and LONDON BANKER were both good last start but this is harder. Think the $8 is a bet KUKERACHA for me.
