Stats (Jan-now)

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I just like to add some stats for trainers or jocks over the last month or so punters might be able to jump onboard the right stables at the right time.

(As I’ve said multiple times. There might be stables going better, these are just the ones I’ve quickly thrown in the database)

Stats from Jan 1st to Feb 8th.

Trainers:

Schweida= P.O.T isn’t great at -19% but the strike rate is more than good enough at 19%. They have  8 winners from last 42 runners. Important to note they have had some roughies and most the horses in the market are running up to their prices. Reckon the stable is in form.

Gollan- Amazing to see they haven’t had a winner in their last 19 runners and they still have a P.O.T of 22% and that they have struck at 17% during this month (16/95). Most be noted of the run of outs a lot of those horses are limited types and a few were long odds. I feel the stable is going better than the stats say, and the stats are ok.

Dunn- I feel the stable may have dropped a little when a lot of horses headed south. Overall in this period they are at 18% strike rate (15/83) with a P.O.T of -25%. The positive for the stable is the fact they have won 7 of their last 21 and look to be going through one of their best patches for some time.

Costa- A smaller stable and happy to take their time placing them to win, hence the 21% strike rate (4/19). The stable always has support and some can start under the odds. P.O.T -32% in this period but a few handy winners in the last fortnight that should win again soon.

Jocks:

James Orman– Well he’s come back keen and flying. (7/32) at 22% and a 2% P.O.T. He’s had good rides but he is riding in very good form. For any jock to have a positive profit on turnover is extremely good.

Robbie Fradd– (7/68) at 10% and -58% P.O.T. The stats don’t read good at all but away from the Edmonds team he isn’t getting great rides. I felt when Lloyd packed up that Fradd would be our clear best jock and get all the best steers which hasn’t happened. Still riding ok though even though it doesn’t read well.

Ryan Wiggins– Had to throw him in because he had a sook last time I left him out haha. (14/68) at 21% and -19 P.O.T. Always one of the best strike rates in Qld if not Australia and it’s because he’s better than them when he turns up at the country tracks and rides a stack of winners doing that.

Michael Rodd- (17/86) at 20% and a P.O.T -10%. He’s had a stack of good rides but the stats show he’s riding them well. I felt during this month he’s been the best jock in Qld by a long way. Maybe not the best 2-3 days over the weekend compared to his steers from the last few weeks but should bounce back with the backing of the Gollan camp.

Steph Thornton– No doubt she had a quiet time a while back but she is airborne at the moment. Strike rate of 17% (10/59) and a P.O.T of 87%, yup!
