One of the most interesting sprint races I can remember. Set weights and penalty conditions are good and this is a great field. Any of a dozen could win and not surprise.
A lot of different formlines and picking the right one doesn’t look easy. The W.A form should be good, looked a strong race and we know the class of AMELIA’S JEWEL. Does she want further than 1200m now? She does get blinkers first time, does that do the trick and improve her? She’s all class, so no knock from me. OSCAR’S FORTUNE comes out of the same race and is a good on speed horse with a great record. Pike rides and will look the winner for a long way.
CLIMBING STAR is in career best form and can’t believe he $23. Weight and gate are not optimal but mares in form seem to just hold it and if she produces a similar effort to the win last start she’s over the odds. LEARNING TO FLY showed a brilliant turn of foot and looked the winner last start. Just had too much to do but she can win here for sure.
BENEDETTA is one I usually sell short but it’s been consistent in good races, draws in with kah to ride.
SGHIRRIPA draws out, been up for a while but better placed ridden a bit more quiet and down in the weights a little. Can be a big improver at odds.
