AUSTRALASIAN OAKS ADELAIDE Race 7
Very competitive race but I’m confident BENAGIL and POLYMNIA are the best two here over the 2000m. The issue is they both draw poorly. Might be a case of needing luck or best ride wins. BENAGIL was a good winner over a mile at Caulfield two starts back and then solid behind a star at Group 1 level last start. May start even shorter come race day. POLYMNIA looked home for all money in the G3 Adrian Knox. Just found one better and the race wasn’t run to suit. Rock hard fit and been best L400m and 200m of all her four starts back this prep.

SANGSTER STAKES 1200m Adelaide Race 8
ASFOORA is a star but the 1200m gives the others a chance. I’d have been JASMIN ROUGE from a better gate. She has shown extremely good ability in just a few starts. Not sure where she ends up from the gate but $25 still looks worth a penny for me. STRETAN ANGEL is a forgive on that track last start and back to own sex can be a big improver.
Easy to make a case for another half dozen but I think they interest me the most.
