Big weekend ahead, as you’d have seen with the webpage this week I’m way out of my lane and have looked at the interstate races. More just as a guide to my thoughts without being best bets.
LETS START WITH FRIDAY NIGHT

*I thought TICK TOCK BOOM would win race 6 and $2.70 a fair price. Market will let us know with Vandyke stable. Best roughie Race 3 BETTER THAN EPIC $10/$3 in an even sort of race.

We got the last winner at the GCTC last week which was a massive drifter so a nice surprise. I had a few messages from people so I’m assuming a few got a piece of it. We’ve had a good couple of weeks but it does look pretty tough this Saturday. Not super keen on any but have looked at 3-4 races on the card.

We head to EF for the metropolitan meeting which isn’t ideal but again there is enough interesting races on the card.

After about 9am Saturday you can get it and form for all the other states from some of the best around!
Thought EXO LADY $5 was one of the best bets (race 3) but 2yr old’s on EF is my worry.

**I have decided to add the quick preview I did for the Warwick Cup race book. Limited space in the book so just small previews. I’ve left out the last race because it’s impossible haha.
*No prices were up when I was typing so some may just be no bets if they are too short etc. Just placing it here as it may interest a few people.
WARWICK CUP raceday 2021
Race 1:
A few first starters so a lot of unknowns. I did like the trial of ONE’S ENUFF and she can win on debut. Tilley rides and gate 1 is a big help on debut over 800m. RED DRESS has the race experience and ready to win. Also draws well and will be on speed. Watch any market moves for DEVIL’S RITE, MR BEGLEY or HELLO I WANT YOU, all in good stables or have trialled/raced well.
Selections: 8-ONE’S ENUFF + 10–RED DRESS look the main winning hopes.
Race 2:
CANNY CAT was winning at Toowoomba two back before getting nailed on the line. Last start was literally running up their backs the entire straight, incredible to watch. Sticky gate but at least gets fresh air and a winnable race. SIR LOUIE went over the line with CANNY CAT two back but that horse would have beaten him easily last start with the right run.
Selections: 2-CANNY CAT looks the winner with any luck in running. 14-VLADKING next best
Race 3:
Tilley will have his work cut off from the wide gate on PIZZO but he looks a horse that has a couple of wins in him. Back and a bit wide last start before running the best L200m of the race. Out to 1350m looks ideal, just needs to have some luck from the barrier. MATILDA GENE has placed in 6 of 12 but also draws poorly and needs a good ride. CURLEY’S PRIDE was good enough on debut to say he can improve off that and land in the money somewhere.
Selections: 2-RIZZO then 5-1
Race 4:
Very hard race. LA RAPIDE is having first start since coming over from S.A so market is our only guide. SPURIOUS has been running over 1600-1700m so the drop in trip is a little query but I feel they have been better races than this. Hopefully lands midfield and will be strong late. Some hopes to FINGERTIPS, THE CARPENTER and even MARRIED IN VEGAS but it’s a tricky raced as mentioned.
Selection: 3-SPURIOUS
Race 5:
LINCOLN FURY had shown no form and last start dropped back in trip and got the blinkers on. A repeat of that GC run would have him right in the finish. Can he reproduce that? INSIDE INFORMATION would win this at his best but he is 1st up and usually takes a run or two to get fit. SIR BULLEE is another one for Tilley, awkward gate but he comes here off a win at only start #3 and he’s the one with some sort of upside.

Race 6:
Good race this one. ONE STRYKE is the best horse in the race but has the 63kg leveller. Form around Boblee and Ditmas is excellent for a race like this. ROCKY NUGGET is just an old marvel. 9yr old and going as good as ever. Loves this trip and sure to look the winner at the 100m. WAIT A MINUTE will get back and hope they go silly up front. He will be the one flashing late and may be able to get over the top of them late. ALUF’s recent form good enough too. Not much between these four!!

Race 7:
GO WANJI looks highly promising and I’m sure he has the ability to win in town next prep. He will have to be good because 62kg and gate 13 from this starting point is not an easy task. Three wide with cover would be ok as he’s pretty good. MISSLLEERS draws the perfect gate and gets the 3kg claim to help out. Should have beat Wait A Minute last start. FESTIVAL PRINCE has looked very good winning his last two races. Has to overcome the bad gate so not an easy ride for the apprentice.
Selections: 1-GO WANDJI then 8-7-4-3
Race 8: THE CUP
Would have loved to have seen TEARS OF LOVE have one more run before this to get a better guide on how she’s going. The fresh run was a bit flat even if they did go hard up front. Her form from last prep would be winning this for sure. There is just that little query off the last run. She should strip fitter and she will be the leader. On her day she just keeps finding under pressure. CRUZE has been a bit better recently, still a little query over the 1500m late but he comes out of better races than most of these. RHYME NOR RHYTHM is a 9yr old but very smart on his day. Had 464 days off and only two runs back. 3rd up to 1500m is a query but he is classy, he gets a 3kg claim and a good gate so he can win without surprising.
