Weekend selections

Don’t like the Sunny Coast card at all! Huge fields, even horses and not really get involved over the whole weekend.

Here are a just a few that interest me, a few at bigger odds

. MAY BE UPDATED before Saturday 9am

Sandown Race 10 No.4-SETTING SAIL $2.25

Happy to take black figures but not betting at odds on. Just looks a very handy horse in the making and taking on our D graders. Should land close enough to the speed, find the front on straightening and stay to hold them off.

Newcastle ‘The HUNTER

Just a quick word on the feature. GRAFF obviously the horse to beat. He’s going to win big races and this might be the perfect target. I’ve gone shopping for some value and had a small bet FIESTA at $21. She’s a genuine group mare who gets in with 52kg and a decent gate to be able to land midfield in a race with good speed. Nothing big but she does in all my exotic bets also.

Sunshine Coast Race 3 No.2-LOTA CREEK GOLD $19/$5

Just feel he can run a race at big odds fresh. On pace type who is very honest and more than up to winning. I’d be more confident if SISTER PATTI didn’t run, it could be a pest up front and LCG would get a better run if it wasn’t there. Still think he runs a race and recent trial was good.

Sunshine Coast Race 4 No.10-SPEAKING BAD $12/$3.80 (2×3 bet)

Happy to have a little more the place than the win on this frustrating mare. She consistently runs well but often finds the front and then waits for something to go past. Should get a good run in transit and hopefully that means she gets the last crack at them and Cormack can hit the front at the 50-100m mark.
