Wrap up from the week that was

Nice to have a few good days in a row finally. Midweek was good to us and Saturday at the gold Coast also a good winning day.

Not a bad days racing Saturday at EF. Feel I’ve finally worked the track out. As I’ve mentioned a majority just don’t ride it properly and the other issue is the firmness. I’ll just be looking for horses have performed well on it before with the right jocks on top from now on, the rest can go around without me.

RIDE OF THE DAY: Brad Stewart- PEPPI LA FEW

Come out, just kept looking to see what the others were going to do. Pushed the button to get across and lead. After a couple of fast splits he then run the 7th quickest split from 1000-800m and the 14th quickest from the 800–600m. That gave the horse a breather and he then went through his gears from there. Outstanding ride.

Nothdurft on VIOLET and AKAGE both timed beautifully also.

WIN OF THE DAY: EMERALD KINGDOM

(HOLD OFF HERE> I have been made aware times might be wrong and I am waiting to confirm . I have a feeling they might be 6L off

Amazing win this. They went 8L quicker than the benchmark to the 600m. A horse like BOOMTOWN LASS loomed but off that tempo wasn’t able to match this horse, He then rattled off the 3rd best L200m of the race. Incredible effort when you know what they spent through the race. He’s well above average and this was an outstanding run.
