Race 5 No.4 – Mass Destruction
Shopping around the $7.50 mark is enticing. He’s a very good horse on his day and not much has gone right this prep. First two runs of the prep were on Heavy 8 tracks that didn’t suit. Then only beaten 1.3 lengths by Ranges in the Listed Hinkler. Last start was in the G3 Healy where he was beaten three lengths but ran the best last 200m of the race from the back. Byrne goes on and he can sit closer from the gate. Just need to get off at the right time if the fence isn’t good. At the price, he is worth an early play for me.
