Not a bad weekend with the Best Bet winning and the Caulfield Cup trifecta getting up.
I’ve always liked the Geelong cup and it is an interesting race again this year. You do need a little luck and momentum is always important.
ASHRUN was enormous at Flemington last start. Being back and wide made it near impossible on the day. He was one of very few to make good ground. Peak fitness now and can win with a bit of luck from the gate.
FIRST IMMORTAL is the up and comer. Been excellent all prep and looked the winner again last start before just stopping late. Wide gate is a little query and Jamie Kah is going horrible at the moment. Still think he’s going well enough himself to overcome both those obstacles and be a winning hope.
Away from them, SPANISH MOON was a pass mark last start and has improvement to come. VIRTUOUS CIRCLE didn’t have the best luck and should have finished closer last time out. MORE FELONS goes in with decent UK form.
