Beaudesert Trial Review 8th November

TRIAL 1: 1050m Open

Wowee, I hope they race MAOTAI up here now because he will knock up winning races. Has a real touch of class about him and plenty of upside left. Just jumped to the front and the further they went, the further he was in front. All without being asked a question. FOLLOW- MAOTAI. https://www.racingqueensland.com.au/racing/replays/tab-race-replays/race-player/thoroughbred/bdst/20221108/race/1

TRIAL 2: 1050m Open

Very slow time, so nothing to write home about. Still had to like the trials of the quinella. ALPINE EDGE is a genuine blacktype horse and you’d expect him to trial like this. Just a nice blowout and went through the gears. The Qld summer is a great target for a horse like him and I expect him to be a force. PIVOTAL MOTION was having a good prep last time in work and may have just trained off. This was a nice way to kick the prep off and would like to see what race they find fresh. Trial 3: 1050m Open

WHISTLING SPIRIT was ridden out to win but not a bad trial all the same. CRIPPS TONITE led and was never really asked for an effort before running 2nd, good trial. COOL ‘N’ READY was the one I liked. Had a very good prep last time in work and was very good from the back and through the line here. Plenty of upside left and can win early in the prep. Trial 6: 1050m Maiden

No real knock on anything behind the winner, but this was all about the winner. SHA OF GOMER sat behind the leader, back to the inside on straightening and it was as easy as you like through the line to win well. A $320k yearling who mixed form down south but may well improve out of sight this prep, especially if they race it up here.
