Well Waterhouse/Bott have six in the race and four of them are on speed horses who really get to dictate to some degree here. STORM BOY is the best of them and they will likely let 1-2 stablemates cross and keep FULLY LIT inside him as you probably don’t want it to be the one in front of you incase it gets a stitch and falls back on top of you. STORM BOY was exceptional in the Magic Millions and then just as impressive last start where he was a bit fresh and will be better for that this time around. Can fault 4 wins from 4 starts and the trainers a genius.
SWITZERLAND is a high class colt who has been timed to the minute by Waller. After the win two starts back he said this bloke has so much improvement to come and to look out. H sat midfield last start, went through his gears and won like a good horse. He is clearly the main challenger.
TRAFFIC WARDEN looks more of a Sires 1400m type horse but from the good gate he can sit midfield to and not spend a penny. If they happen to go too hard up front he is one who can be strong late and run over a few.
STRAIGHT CHARGE, PROST, HAYASUGI are all big chances to land around the money with even luck.
SUMMARY: Storm Boy looks the one they have to beat and Switzerland clearly the main danger. Away rom them, nothing would surprise and nearly anything could land in trifecta’s and first 4’s.
