*It’s a date! Forget the Royal family having a birth, no disrespect but surely Black Caviar announcing she is going to be served by Exceed And Excel is far more newsworthy? It is not confirmed as yet but racing rumours are usually pretty good. Many racing fans are excited to even think about the possibilities and quality of the mating. Oh, and for the record the royals had a boy apparently….

*Rob Heathcote is heading south for dry tracks with Griffon, Funtantes and Hidden Kisses heading down to Sydney this weekend. They are all good horses and should be more than competitive.

*Ipswich Cup winner Anagold has moved to the Mick Price stable. No doubt she is a nice mare but it will be interesting to see what Mick thinks he can win with her.

*There were a massive 17 trials scheduled for Eagle Farm today. Obviously there were a few scratchings and a couple of races joined together but the results will be worth a look. I have not done the replays yet but the word is Whiskey Allround trialled very well and is on target for a Sydney trip.

*A quick apology to the Blackbook followers. We blackbooked Single Spirit from the Grafton carnival but I made a mistake when placing it into my system. It was blackbooked correctly on the Brissyraces website so hopefully you keep a track of them yourself as backup and got a slice of the $3.80 at Coffs on Sunday.

*We have one Blackbook runner tomorrow in Brisbane:blackbook

Regal Show – Eagle Farm R8 No.10 (1400m): The wet track is not so much of a concern but where they go from the gate is the question. This is an improving horse but I’d like to wait and see how many scratch to see what sort of run he may or may not get.
