I’ve also done Doomben cup and Goodwood feature race previews you can find on the HOME PAGE. Just wanted to mention this race as it might be a nice exotics race.
I know my man Tommy Haylock might be laying DOUCEUR from the bad gate but i feel she is still on track. A lot of the horses coming here from the oaks got back and wide and it was impossible to make ground that day. So MAMOUNIA, LADY CHANT, BUNDLE OF FUN and this horse can all be forgiven. She run out of her skin in the Kennedy oaks last year and I’m sure everything has been aimed at this race from the start of the prep. Not sure what they do from the gate but she will be in the money somewhere.
For the reason stated I think you just forgive those mentioned above and go on their previous form.
THE AMAZONIAN is the second fav and I can see why. Looks a nice stayer who is progressing for a very good stable. My knock on her being a winning chance is just the fact she still does things wrong and doesn’t go straight when needed. Zahra goes on and that might help.
Two roughies that go in my plays are THE MAP and PREFER US. Both lightly raced and THE MAP comes through good races. She got back in both G3’s made good ground in the Auraria. Last start got checked in the straight and forgive that run. Bad gate but at $31 goes in exotics for me. PREFER US really interests me. J.Allen rides for the McEvoy camp and she is another on the improve. Comes through weak races but looks to me like the step out in trip will help. Allen going on will also be a massive positive for this filly and I’m sure she runs better than the $34 quote.
*Think my play will be to try a cheap trifecta standing out the toppy.
